Linux World names Indian amongst global Linux luminaries

Linux World Magazine, one of the leading global authorities on Linux, has ranked India’s Rahul Chopra, Editor, Linux For You, as one of the world’s twenty Linux luminaries. He has been highlighted for his contribution to the area of Linux and open source software. The January issue of Linux World names him amongst global Linux luminaries and publishes his future vision and interview.

The 20 luminaries listing released by the journal features some of the greatest advocates of Linux and the open source movement. These include Eric Raymond (Open Source Initiative), John Terpstra (co-founder Samba project), Tom Adelstein of Government Forge; Tom Barton of Rackable Systems; Wim Coekaerts of Oracle; Chris DiBona of Konstrux Technologies; Brian Ferguson of McDermott, Will & Emery; Samuel Greenblatt of Computer Associates; Adam Jollans of IBM; Chandler Kant of LinuxCertified, Inc.; Ranajit Nevatia of Veritas; Andy Oram of O'Reilly & Associates; Eric Raymond of Open Source Initiative; Thomas Reardon of Openwave Systems; Jordan Rosen of Lille Corp.; J.C.
