Leading The Pack In The Linux Server Market

Hewlett-Packard (HP) has made a strong commitment to Linux technology years ago and is now leading the pack as far as sales of Linux servers is concerned. HP has shipped more than one million Linux servers during the past seven years, that is 45 percent above any of its competitors. During the first quarter of this year HP Linux server sales beat IBM by eight percent in terms of revenue. It also left Dell behind both in terms of unit sales and revenue. HP has been testing and optimizing new open source and Linux products internally before making its innovative solutions available to its customers.
