Writing Software For Linux The Easy Way

Friday September 16, 2005
REALbasic 2005, recently released by REAL Software, is a program that allows both professional and non-professional programmers to easily build software for Linux. REALbasic 2005 is similar to Visual Basic, but facilitates the deployment of software to Linux, Windows, and Macintosh from the same code base. Geoff Perlman, president and CEO of REAL Software claims that "REALbasic is cross-platform that really works." REALbasic supports Linux by letting windows users convert their Visual Basic files to REALbasic so that they can easily switch working from a Windows computer to a Linux computer. The introductory price for the software is set at $399.95.
