Splashtop Boots Your Computer up in Seconds

A company called DeviceVM has developed a technology that makes PCs functional almost immediately after you turn them on. The Linux desktop environment Splashtop can be embedded in motherboards and enable users to check email, browse the internet, make VoIP call, and perform other tasks just seconds after pushing the on button.

The motherboard, components, and notebook manufacturer ASUS has integrated Splashtop into several of its motherboard models, including the P5Q Deluxe, P5Q-WS, P5Q3 Deluxe, and the P5Q-E. Read more...
