Zarafa Server - Linux' Answer to Exchange Server

Wednesday January 21, 2009
The Zarafa Software runs as a server on Linux systems and provides Mail, Calendar, Contacts, and Tasks programs for a group of people. Besides providing the standard mail functionality, the Mail component allows you to make mail messages accessible to other users. The Calendar component includes functions such as setting up appointments for a colleague, and you can make you own calender accessible to others.

The Contacts component allows you to manage your contacts and include contacts in a public contacts folder. It can be used to generate distribution lists to send email messages to groups. The tasks component includes todo's for yourself and groups. Tasks can be tagged with time, date, owner, and priority and sent to co-workers through email.

Zarafa is priced at 30 Euros for the first year with discounts for larger quantities. Read more...
