Use PDFedit to Edit PDF Documents
The PDF format is a popular file type for documents that require well defined layout.
Unfortunately there are not many options available to Linux users for manipulating PDF documents.
One such option, however, is PDFedit, a free and open source native Linux software package that enables you to edit PDF documents. Functions include adding, deleting, or marking text, drawing objects, inserting pages from other documents, rotating pages, and converting into XML format.
For more information see the PDFedit user manual. In some versions of Ubuntu users can conveniently download and install it through the Add/Remove option under Applications. If not, you can find installation instructions here.
