Want a really fast Linux computer? How about 130 miles an hour? The TTX02 electric motorcycle developed by Mavizen demonstrates what is possible in the field of emission free electric driving.
This machine is built on the frame of conventional street bike, but instead of an internal combustion engine it uses two electric motors that together can generate almost 100 horsepower and accelerate you to 130 mph. Battery packs with capacities of up to 11 kilowatt-hours are available, which are designed to complete the 38-mile Isle of Man TT race course.
The bike's control software of course runs on a variant of the open source operating system Linux, which boots up in just a few seconds, and makes it easy to integrate the various electronic and electric components of the vehicle, which may include cameras, GPS devices, and other peripherals.
The on-board computer also runs a web browser with WIFI connectivity to enable remote system configuration, diagnostics, and software upgrades. Pictures can be found at the Mavizen web site.
