How to Fix a Broken Internet Cable Plug

This issue has caused a lot of people a lot of frustration. The little plastic spring that holds an Internet cable plug (RJ45) in place and presses the metal contacts against those of the receptacle brakes off easily.

When that happens the plug tends to slide out and the contracts become unstable creating all kinds of problems on your computer whose cause may not be immediately obvious. So if you can't easily replace the cable this instructables guide offers an ingenious fix.
