Hewlett-Packard now ships its nx5000 as one of its latest laptop models. SUSE Linux is optionally pre-installed. KDE was chosen as the standard configuration, because it offers basically everything needed by the average user. Essentially all hardware has been tested and is operational, including power management and winmodem. ACPI is fully supported, enabling features like hibernation. Currently the nx5000 is only available in the United States. People in Europeans can purchase it from the USA on HP’s web site. They are advised to choose Linux as the operating system and the integrated HP W500 wireless option, for which drivers are pre-installed. See more information
