Kommander - For Building Graphical User Interfaces

Monday April 21, 2008
Kommander enables users to build graphical applications for Linux using graphical editors. Drag and drop operations replace conventional coding, so that even non-programmers can generate graphical applications. Using the mouse, users can drag buttons, checkboxes, text entry fields, and other graphical user interface components on the window that represents the application being constructed. Even functional connections between objects can be constructed using the mouse. For any remaining programming that is still needed to provide the desired functionality, users can pick a scripting language of their choice. This also means that Kommander is well suited for building graphical user interfaces for existing shell scripts.
