Definition: LinuxFromScratch: Linux From Scratch (LFS) is a project that provides you with the steps necessary to build your own custom Linux system using the LFS book. The web site also contains links to other resources such as mailing lists, mailing list archives, newsgroups, search engine, faq and more. Released under the original BSD License. Development version 3.2-rc2 was released February 27, 2002. Stable version 3.3 was released April 7, 2002. Version 4.1 was released April 28, 2003.
