Definition: idswakeup: A tool for testing network intrusion detection systems. idswakeup is a Bourne shell script invoking hping2 (required) and iwu (part of this package) to generate false alarms in order to check if a network intrusion detection system works all right. idswakeup requires no configuration and includes many common attack simulations.
