"scripts"

By Juergen Haas, About.com

Definition: scripts: Programs written to take advantage of a particular exploit. Key point: Elite hackers write scripts, script-kiddies run scripts. Misunderstanding: A lot of "scripts" are written in scripting languages like PERL, but a lot are distributed in C/C++ source form as well. Contrast: 0-day exploit.
