Linux Game: Ball Revamped 2: MetaPhysicsFrom Andre Haas
Guide Rating - This game is extremely simple, yet abstract. All you do is control a ball with your arrow keys. What complicate things are gravity, acceleration, deceleration, and perpetual motion? You guide your ball through different levels, divided into different zones, each with its own theme. GameplayThe gameplay Ball Revamped 2: MetaPhysics can be interesting, but for only a vary short time. Then its receptiveness will become tedious and boring. There are 125 levels, each of which allows you infinite lives. There are some differences in the ways you play at each level. But basically, you are still doing the same thing: moving ball to portal.Graphics and AudioThe graphics, like the gameplay, are extremely simple, the ball being nothing more that a colored sphere. The obstacles are nothing more than textured rectangles. However, the background of each level is nicely done. And the there is a change in the theme every 10 levels. The audio features some basic, repetitive music, as well as a sound for when you hit an obstacle or get into a portal.Special FeatureA very original part of Ball Revamped 2 MetaPhysics me is the range of obstacles. You don't only have walls to stop you. You have palm trees trying to kill you with coconuts, and guns blasting at you when you enter their sensing range. These unique obstacles have added diversity to the otherwise one-dimensional game.Bottom LineIf you have had a long trying day, and are looking for something numb your mind, Ball Revamped is the way to go. With 125 levels of maneuvering gameplay, this game can provide you with hours idling leisure.
