From Andre Haas

This game is simple and abstract. All you do is control a ball with your arrow keys. But you need to take into consideration of gravity, acceleration, deceleration, and perpetual motion. You guide your ball through different levels, maneuvering past walls and collecting items in strategic ways.

Gameplay

The gameplay of Ball Revamped 4 is repetitive, to the degree that it is hypnotic. There are 100 levels, with two extremely hard bosses. You have infinite lives for each level. There are some differences among the levels, but your goal remains the same: move the ball to the portal. After overcoming a barrage of mixed obstacles, you will advance to the next level.

Graphics and Audio

The graphics, like the game play, are extremely simple, the ball being nothing more that a colored sphere. The obstacles are nothing more than textured rectangles. However the background of each level is nicely done. The music changes every 10 levels or so. In addition, you will hear a sound when the ball hits an obstacle, another one when the ball gets into a portal.

Special Feature

One interesting part about this game is number of bonuses available. These range from shrinkers, which make maneuvering through tight spaces easier, to spikes, which covers your ball with spikes that can destroy wooden planks that will often protect the portals to the next levels.

Bottom Line

With 100 levels of maneuvering gameplay that will last for hours, without much mind binding, the game is a true time killer.
