Guide Review - GIMPshop - Linux Graphic Software

One of the major graphics programs in the free software domain has been GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program). It has similar capabilities as Adobe Photoshop and can be used for a variety of tasks, including photo editing and image composition. GIMPshop was designed to specifically ease the transition for Photoshop users. While the functionalities of GIMP and Photoshop largely overlap, window layout, options, tools, and menus have evolved independently and are quite different. This causes frustration for people who want to switch from Photoshop to GIMP or vice versa. GIMPshop, however, looks and feels much more like Photoshop. Its menus, windows, tools and options are modified to match the structure and conventions of Photoshop.
